We've been raising beef cattle continuously since 1975. Our mission is to produce healthy, tasty grass-fed beef for the local market in a responsible, sustainable fashion, and to propagate quality Red Devon seedstock cattle. THE BEEF HERD Our beef herd currently consists of Angus/Simmental cows that have been selected for their ability to thrive on pasture alone, and for docility; a gentle temperament creates better beef. The cows are bred to our pure Red Devon herd sire, Roffey Q14 “Red Dude.” “Red Dude” is a son of Rotokawa 688, the most famous bull in the breed, from the noted Rotokawa herd of New Zealand. The Rotokawa herd has been selected for beef production on grass for the past 70 years. As the generations progress our beef herd will become high-percentage Devons.
